Basic Installation Procedures for the Entrega 2U1S1P Adapter 

Four Part Installation:

A:  Entrega USB Hub Load:

1. Insert either the Windows 95 or Windows 98 installation disk into computer floppy disk drive.  Plug the USB cable into the downstream Type A connector located in the back of your computer and the Type B connector into your Entrega Adapter

Note:  If you are already running a Entrega USB Hub please proceed to step B

2. A window will automatically appear "New Hardware Found."
3. The wizard searches for new drivers for Generic USB Hub. Click next.
4. Select, "Search the best driver for your device."
5. The following box will appear:
6. Select "Specify Location" and type your Windows directory location, typically C:\Win95 or C:\Win98.  Click next.
7. Windows will look and find a driver for your Hub (usbhub.sys).

B: USB to Serial Firmware Load:

1. A window will automatically appear "Entrega USB Serial Firmware."
2. The wizard searches for new drivers for this device.   Click next.
3. Same as Step 4 above.
4. The system will look for and find a driver for your Entrega Serial Firmware.    
5. Select <Floppy Disk>.  Click next.
6. Click finish to complete the installation.

C: USB to Parallel Load:

1. A window will automatically appear "Entrega USB to Parallel Firmware.
2. The wizard searches for new drivers for this device.   Click next.
3. Same as Step 4 above.
4. Select <Floppy Disk Drive>.  Click next.
5. Windows will look and find a driver for your Entrega USB to Parallel.    
6. Click Finish to complete the installation.

D:  USB to Serial converter Driver Load:

1. A window will automatically appear "New Hardware Found."
2. The wizard searches for drivers for Entrega USB to Serial converter.  Click next.
3. Follow steps 3 - 7 above.
4. Windows is finished installing the software for the Entrega 1 port USB to Serial converter drivers.  Click Finish.


E:  Com Port Load:
	
A window will automatically appear "New Hardware Found." The system looks for the next available COM port and assigns it a number [i.e. USB Communications Port (Com X) where X will be the next available Communications Port assigned by your system].

Double-check your Entrega 2U1S1P Adapter installation  

1. On the desktop right click "My Computer."
2. Click on properties.  Select Device Manager.
3. The dialogue box will appear with the Entrega USB Serial to Parallel Adapter
4. If the Entrega USB to Serial Port or Parallel Port is with yellow exclamation point, the driver had a problem loading.
5. Double click on the yellow exclamation point and go to the DRIVER window.  At the   bottom, select reload drivers.
6. Insert Installation disk and reload the drivers

An LED light monitors performance; it lets you know that the Ethernet Connection and the USB ports are working properly.  When the LED is red, power is on; when the LED is green, a device has been plugged in and enumerated.

F: Installation was not successful 

Sometimes the regular installation process won't complete itself.  If this is the case, please follow the steps below:

1. Unplug the Entrega USB-Ethernet Adapter from the computer.
2. Insert the installation diskette in your A: drive.  O.K. ok.  
3. Click Uninstall when prompted.      
4. Go to Section 2.1/New Installation and reinstall this device.
